Help for Children in Ukraine – Charity Sale of Works by Photographer Sergei Malikov

Photographs by Sergej Malikov will be on display at the Ludwig Museum from 10 June 2022. They will be offered for sale by the Ludwig Museum and the Verein der Freunde und Förderer der Städtischen Museen, Koblenz to raise money for children in Ukraine. This campaign is part of an international project to support Ukraine. All proceeds from the sale of the photographs will be directed to a charity fund to support children who have had to flee the violence of Russian troops.

The artist:
Sergey Malikov was born on Lake Baikal and grew up in the Eastern Carpathians. Streets and squares, the enchanting beauty of the Carpathians and the uniqueness of the region’s inhabitants inspired him to paint and photograph. Since 1976, Sergey Malikov has been living and working in Kyiv, combining the talent of a graphic designer and a set designer.
Photo-images became an entirely new twist and direction in his work. Talent and life experience, high professionalism and polished skills are appreciated by visitors to his personal photo exhibitions in Uzhhorod, Kharkov, Tel Aviv, Vienna, Kyiv. Photo-pictures became a completely new turn and direction in his work. A special look at urbanism! It is in this direction that Sergey Malikov is working. His photographic paintings adorn private collections, interiors of hotels, restaurants, medical institutions, private villas and yachts, all kinds of salons, office premises, as well as the interiors of diplomatic missions in more than 16 countries of the world: America, Switzerland, Turkey, Japan, Lithuania, Austria, Canada, Poland, Georgia, Republic of Korea, Austria, Azerbaijan, Israel, Turkmenistan, the Netherlands, China. The creative activity of the Photo Artist is highly appreciated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine for his contribution to the development of cultural and diplomatic relations between Ukraine and other countries of Europe and the Middle East.
