Jump in Art “Sense and Sensibility. Emotional spaces in the art of Joël Andrianomearisoa”, Thursday, 29 January 2026

29.01.2026 , 18:00

On Thursday, 29 January 2026 (6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.), Jump in Art will take place on the theme of ‘Sense and Sensibility. Emotional Spaces in the Art of Joël Andrianomearisoa’ as part of the new special exhibition at the Ludwig Museum.

Joël Andrianomearisoa uses materials, colours and compositions to translate feelings, memories and desires into visible forms. His concept of an ‘invisible architecture of the soul’ describes the search for ways to make the invisible tangible. After studying at the École Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris and successfully representing Madagascar at the 19th Venice Biennale, his work moves confidently between modernity and tradition, innovation and identity.

The evening will be hosted by Prof. Dr. Beate Reifenscheid, Director of the Ludwig Museum, and Suzana Leu-Puggioni M.A., research assistant. Culinary surprises will be provided by Gottschalk Catering and Riesling from the Matthias Müller Winery.

Cost including drinks and snacks: €24. Thursday, 29 January 2026, 6–7.30 p.m.

Registration until Sunday, 25 January 2026 at: kasse.ludwig-museum@stadt.koblenz.de or 0261 129 2406.
If you do not attend a paid event at short notice despite having registered, the museum reserves the right to charge you for the costs.
