Jump in Art – Get out of the office and into the world of art!

Theme: “Between Seeing and Imagining. Recognising and Interpreting Images”

Date: Thursday, 24 September 2026, 6:00–7:30 p.m.

What do we see when we look at a picture – and when does it begin to take shape in our minds? Through the works of Liliane Tomasko, we will rediscover the act of seeing. Her paintings move between abstraction and figuration, between dream and immediate perception. At the heart of her work lies that particular moment when something familiar emerges from shapes and forms.

Together, we will explore how memories and imagination shape our way of seeing, and how, in the act of looking, we as viewers continually bring an image into being anew.

Look forward to stimulating conversations and an enjoyable evening hosted by Prof. Dr. Beate Reifenscheid, Director of the Ludwig Museum, and Marlene Reiche, Research Trainee. Culinary surprises from Gottschalk Catering will round off the evening.

Cost including aperitif and stuzzichini: €24.00

Please register by telephone at +49 (0)261 129 2406 or in writing by email to kasse.ludwig-museum@stadt.koblenz.de by Sunday, 20 September 2026, at the latest.
