On Saturday, 11 December at 5 p.m., the exhibition opens with donations entitled
Daniella Sheinman – Drawings against War
The Ludwig Museum presents the new donation of Daniella Sheinman’s works. The works of the Israeli artist oscillate between drawings and paintings. She realises her black lines on canvases two metres high and three metres wide. The series (9/11 SERIES) from 2004-2008 deals with the chaos and insecurity in the world, which the artist felt particularly closely as a result of the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001 and the second Intifada (2000-2005) between Israel and Palestine. She transformed these feelings triggered by these crises into drawings, which she enlarged on canvas.
