“Deep Diving” presents selected artworks, techniques or themes within the framework of an in-depth art contemplation and explains the selected topics using biographical, art historical and socio-philosophical informations.
Titel: “Erró. The Power of Images”
Images possess enormous power. While we are confronted daily with a flood of them in social media, news, advertising, and politics, Erró has demonstrated with artistic incisiveness since the 1960s that images are never neutral. They can manipulate, seduce, soothe, or disturb. Erró does not use this power to sell or propagate, but rather to make us aware of how images function and how they shape our reality. An example of this is his “American Interior. No. 6” (1967) from the collection of the Ludwig Museum.
