For Joël Andrianomearisoa, black is not just a colour, but an attitude, an approach that strives for the universal. For the artist, black is an existential mystery that can be discovered by the viewer. Using further examples from art history, we will take a closer look at the complexity of colours in Andrianomearisoa’s world.
